No working out last night since I had to prepare for my South Beach Diet by going to the grocery store and spending way too much money on food.
It's seriously way too expensive to eat healthy. Veggies are super expensive, as is good meat, eggs and dairy. Dudes, it would be so much CHEAPER to eat junk food and what not. Soda is way cheaper than juice. Chips are way cheaper than veggies. Hot dogs and prepackaged meats are way cheaper than fresh meat and fish. So what I'm saying is that I'm totally bummed about grocery costs.
Anyway, I just ate my lunch: tuna fish (3 oz) with romaine lettuce, red pepper, onion, tomatoes and some sort of dressing concoction made from dijon mustard, olive oil and tarragon. It was good. Thank goodness it was more filling than breakfast (whisk one egg with 1/4 c. egg substitute, 1/4 c. 1% milk and 2 asparagus spears then scramble) and my snack (mixed nuts) combined!! I'm hoping my afternoon snack (10 cherry tomatoes and 1/2 c. reduced fat cottage cheese) will keep me going while I ride my bike - if it isn't raining!!! - until my grilled salmon dinner tonight. That would be nice.
I forgot to get frozen spinach and jello last night. The frozen spinach is for a make-ahead breakfast on the go quiche so I haven't made them yet. Jello is for dessert. I didn't like any of their other desserts. I seem to be doing okay so far...I guess I'll know exactly how well I do after the weekend is over!! I'm going to the movies and that could be my downfall! Yikes!

You've just been tagged! Good Luck with the diet!
